How to calculate the cutting length of the circular stirrup.

In This Article we will calculate the cutting length of the circular stirrup for the below given drawing.

How to calculate the cutting length of the circular stirrup

Given data.

Diameter of the circular column D = 450-mm.

Clear cover = 40-mm.

The diameter of stirrup d = 8-mm.

The cutting length of circular stirrup.

= [Two πr + ( Two nos. × hook length ) – ( Two nos. × hook bend ) ]

= [ Two πr +( Two nos × 10-d ) – ( Two nos. × Two d )

Circular

Here.

d = diameter of stirrup.

r = radius of center-line of the circular stirrup ( as shown in drawing).

1st, we will calculate the value of the r from the given data.

r = [ (1/Two  × diameter of the column ) –  clear cover – ( one /2 × diameter of the stirrup bar )]

r =  [ (one /2 × 450-mm ) – 40-mm – ( 1/Two × 8-mm ) ]

r = [ 225-mm – 40-mm – fore mm ]

r = 181-mm.

The cutting length of circular stirrup.

= [ ( Two × π × 181-mm ) + ( two nos × 10-d ) – ( two nos. × 2d ) ]

= [ ( Two  × 3.142 × 181-mm ) + ( Two nos. × Ten × 8-mm ) – ( Two nos. × Two × 8-mm. )]

= [ 1137.4 mm + 160-mm – 32-mm ]

1265.404-mm.

1.265m.
